50th Anniversary Tree Planting

On Wednesday, November 28, we planted a beautiful red oak tree commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of our school. Thank you to MSFW parent, Nicole Hawkins and her crew for selecting and planting this beautiful tree. Our students wrote out hopes and wishes for our school that were planted below the root ball including: "I wish for MSFW to recycle anything we can." "My wish for MSFW is to grow in knowledge, kindness, and love." "I wish for Montessori school that it will prosper and grow for many years to come." "I wish for more football equipment in Cowboys colors for the playground."

Thanksgiving Feast Photos

Our students enjoyed a communal feast Friday, November 16. Each class from primary through middle school contributed a side dish to the smoked turkeys prepared by Mark Szabo. It was a wonderful way to celebrate and give thanks to all in our school community.

Holiday Surprises Workday – December 11

We will meet in the community room on December 11, starting at 9:00 am to wrap the holiday surprises and glue children’s photos on the keepsake snowflake ornaments. No special talent is needed for this time to gather, enjoy some refreshments, and work together to spread the holiday spirit. If you have a glue gun, please bring it along with an extension cord and glue sticks that fit your gun. Younger siblings are welcome to entertain themselves as we work. We’ll appreciate your help even if you don’t have all morning to spend with us. Many hands make light work! Questions, please contact the office at (817) 732-0252.

All School Holiday Caroling Event – Thursday, December 20 at 6:30 pm

Join us for some holiday cheer as all of our students, toddler through middle school, sing carols to ring in the season. The students have been working in class to learn the songs: the toddlers practicing when to "jingle their bells" to the primary students learning the lyrics to traditional carols. The elementary and middle school students are singing special songs. The event is one of the highlights of our school year, a time that we all come together to celebrate! In order to accommodate our growing school, we are hosting the event in the Great Hall at the First Presbyterian Church at 1000 Penn Street in downtown Fort Worth. There is plenty of parking and ample seating if you wish to invite extended family members. Plan to arrive by 6:15 pm so the students can get into place before the performance which will last approximately an hour. Students are welcome to wear their holiday clothes for this special event if they wish. Click here to see the map.
