Cook Children’s Medical Center has partnered with Safe Kids Tarrant County to provide information about installing car seats correctly as well as free car seat checkups to determine if your car seat is installed correctly.
Each week, certified child passenger safety technicians who check car seats for free in various locations around Tarrant County. Our team will show you the fit that is the safest for your child and your vehicle.
Effective Sept. 1, 2009, Texas amended the State Child Passenger Safety law to include children up to 8 years old unless they are 4’9″ tall. In addition, all passengers (including adults) above this age/height must use a seat belt, regardless of where they sit in the vehicle.
