Spring Semester Tuition Due December 1

For families who have elected to pay tuition by the semester, the spring semester payment is due December 1. All tuition charges will be posted to SmartCare November 25.  Click here to see the tuition schedule for the 2018-2019 school year. If you wish to switch from semester pay to monthly pay, or vice versa, please email the school office by Friday, November 16. Questions? Holiday Scholastic Orders

Scholastic Book flyers are coming home with your student this week. Please take a few moments to explore the selection together and let your child help choose books he or she is excited to read. The easiest way to order is online. You can order online at scholastic.com/bookclubs, where you’ll find a wide selection of quality children’s books that are just right for your child’s reading level and interests. Or return your paper order form to the school office with a check made out to “ScholasticReading Club.” Books will be sent home with your child when they arrive.  If you are wanting to order books for a surprise or a present, we can always leave in the office for you to pick up. You would just need to me via email at nle@msftw.org Remember, you help our school earn FREE Books and supplies with every order. Pizza Orders for November and December

The Upper Elementary students offer pizza from Mama's Pizza for sale as a fundraiser to earn money for their multi-night class trip later this school year. All middle school, elementary, full day primary and Wednesday lunch bunch students can choose to order pizza. Available options include: cheese, pepperoni, veggie, alfredo or gluten free cheese. Served with a side of fruit and water, your child will be served by the upper elementary students. NOTE: Pizza will be available the last Wednesday of each month (November 28 and December 19 for this order period). Ready to order? Click here  to place your order online. Since this is an upper elementary class project, pizza must be paid for separately. Make check payable to MSFW. In the memo section, write pizza. Cash is also accepted.

Class Photo Books For Sale

Each class (toddler through middle school) has created a hard cover photo book for sale. Featuring photos of each child in the class, the elementary and above books include original essays. Feel free to stop by your child's classroom to take a peek! Perfect for gift giving, the books will be delivered in time for the holidays. The books will be available for purchase until Friday, November 16 for $50 each.  Make checks payable to the Montessori Advancement Organization.

Admissions Open House – Saturday, Dec. 1

Do you have a neighbor, friend or relative looking for a school for their child? Invite them to join us for our Open House, Saturday, December 1 from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Prospective families can tour the classrooms, learn about the Montessori approach to education, ask questions and more. Referrals from current families provide the best candidates for admission to our school. Current families are welcome to attend too, especially if your child is moving up a level next year, for example, primary to lower elementary. Serving children from toddlers through the 8th grade, Montessori School of Fort Worth is the only fully accredited Montessori school in Fort Worth. Middle School Intersession Week Photos

Last week was the first intersession week for our middle school students. During intersession week, the students' studies are enriched with special presentations and field trips that correlate with their studies from the previous cycle including: Bud Kennedy, Fort Worth Star Telegram columnist gave a presentation about the history of Fort Worth Tandy Hills Nature Area hike Model United Nations workshop with TCU professor Eric Cox and TCU student Amanda Little Kimbell Art Museum Architecture tour led by Connie Barganier (Emelie - SLE) Health and Exercise lessons led by Crystal Apodaca, PE teacher Guillermo Garcia Sanchez (Oliver - NPM) spoke to the class about embassies and consulates, migration/immigration A tour of The Sid Richardson Museum Fernanda Valverde (Mirena - MS) taught a lesson about the indigenous cultures of Mexico It was a very full week! Cycle 2 started yesterday and will continue until Winter Break.
